The BudCap provides you with the surety of a physical protection device that allows your seedlings to survive deer browse during that crucial early stage of life. If you can save the first flush of the terminal bud, your seedling will be well on its way to a free-to-grow status; and by the next season your seedlings can be at a height typically above where deer browse.
It is a commonly known fact that deer will bed down within or near a feeding area; if the trees in that area have been physically protected, the deer will move on to another feeding area. By the time deer have returned later in the spring or summer, there will be an ample supply of competing plants and brush for the deer to browse.
Even if the seedling is browsed later in spring or summer, the browse can only occur on the growth above the BudCap. The immature buds remaining within the BudCap will promote a second flush in late summer or fall, and set the stage for vigorous growth in the future.

The BudCap is a time-tested and proven browse protection product that really works. Nothing can beat physical protection for your seedlings; if your seedlings have been treated with a spray repellent, there is concern whether every seedling was treated or when the rain will wash it off.
With our patented adhesive wrap, there is no concern over stems and branches being damaged by stapling and disfigured growth with netting devices.
Over ten million BudCaps successfully employed since the product was brought to the marketplace four years ago.
